Of course, some may say that none of this is strictly necessary for making great ice cream – we’ll leave that decision up to you.
For Appleby Farms, local isn’t just a place, it’s a philosophy. The milk in our ice cream comes from two family owned Nelson farms. It heads straight from the milking shed to our own brand spanking new creamery 15 minutes down the road. The ingredients we blend in are sourced from local growers and partners, and a chunk of the profit we make gets reinvested in sustainable farming practices and environmental projects in the region.
